Oily Skin
- Oiliness throughout the whole face
- Acne pops up everywhere
- Pores feel clogged or congested
With oily skin, your complexion can appear coarse, sallow or inflamed. Bumps come in the form of enlarged pores, clusters of blackheads, or outbreaks of pimples throughout the whole face. Genetics, a poor diet, using products that dry out skin, and fluctuations in hormones (especially during adolescence and early adulthood) are the main causes of this skin type.
You need ingredients that:

Tea Tree
fights breakout infections and heals acne

Mandarin
balances oily skin and cools inflammation

Yarrow
Decreases inflammation and aids in circulation

Combo Skin
- Even skin tone, with maybe a few lines
- Light shine, mainly in T-zone
- Minimal breakouts or broken capilaries
With normal skin, your complexion typically feels smooth and firm. While broken capillaries and the occasional breakout do happen, they tend to be rare. Every now and then you might experience some shine in your T-zone, dryness on the cheeks, or small clusters of whiteheads, but overall your complexion is resilient. Having a healthy diet and lifestyle, properly caring for skin, or being blessed with good genetics all help maintain this skin type.
You need ingredients that:

Grapefruit
Minimizes pores and boosts circulation

Carrot Seed
Clears blemishes and freshens skin tone

Lavender
Protects against bacteria and soothes skin

Sensitive Skin
- Flushing or redness on the cheeks and chin
- Skin feels delicate and is quick to react to changes
- Rash or small bumps are common
With sensitive skin, your complexion can feel irritated by the tiniest thing, ranging from eating a particular food to coming into contact with dyes or perfumes. Irritation, redness, rashes and small bumps (particularly on the cheeks) are common, especially with very fair complexions. Visible veins and broken capillaries are also prevalent, and may go hand-in-hand with conditions such as dermatitis and eczema. Having a compromised immune system - due to genetics, using chemical-laden products, or having an unhealthy lifestyle - is the main cause of this skin type.
You need ingredients that:

Chamomile
Reduces flushing and redness

Calendula
Brightens skin and provides antioxidants

Geranium
Regenerates sensitive skin and alleviates eczema

Hormonal Skin
- Breakouts around the chin and jaw area
- Darker patches near the temples or sides of face
- Skin tends to look worse around the menstrual cycle
With hormonal skin, your complexion can be temperamental one day and fine the next. This skin type is particularly aggravated by stress and tends to get inflamed before and during the menstrual cycle, producing breakouts or small red bumps along the jaw line, across the forehead and around the mouth. Being of childbearing age (and struggling with hormonal disorders ranging from irregular periods to endometriosis or PCOS), dealing with multiple sources of stress (work, personal, etc) or approaching menopause are the main causes of this skin type.
You need ingredients that:

Nettle
Heals hormone-related breakouts

Lemongrass
Reduces puffiness and closes pores

Calendula
Brightens skin and provides antioxidants

Dry Skin
- Wrinkles and fine lines
- Dry patches or flakiness
- Skin feels tight and parched
With dry skin, your complexion can feel tight, delicate or paper-thin. Fine lines, wrinkles and flaky patches are the result of insufficient moisture or fat in the skin, leading to sagging and dullness. Not staying properly hydrated, having a diet devoid of good fats, experiencing harsh winters and scorching summers, or approaching middle age and beyond are the main causes of this skin type.
You need ingredients that:

Geranium
Regenerates dry and mature skin

Marjoram
Promotes suppleness and relieves dry patches

Lavender
Reinforces and soothes skin
